Alaoma International Foods, Drinks and Spices Ltd was incorporated as a limited company in September 2016 to carry out African and other ethnic food business in the United Kingdom. Prior to this, the business started trading as Alaoma Food Hub from the Moor market in Sheffield South Yorkshire in 2013. We started with a bakery and confectionery section specialising in hard dough textured bread popular among African populace. Joy Bread and chin chin was launched. This immediately became very popular and in the shortest time gained a sizeable market share in bread business in the region, Manchester and other wider areas cities like London. No doubt, the company is arguably one of the fastest growing businesses in the country with an exponential growth in African food market share, customers base and wider customer reach. The business has also grown its presence in South Yorkshire to a dozen trading units with four branches in Sheffield. Our business model has metamorphosed from retail of African food products to importation, retail, wholesale and distribution of these products to a wider customer base across the United Kingdom. We aim to completely capture the entire food value chain in the foreseeable future. Recently, we delved into restaurateur business by acquiring a Syrian restaurant chain and rebranded same into ALAOMA NIGERIAN CUISINE- GRILLS, BAR AND RESTAURANT.
